Before high school I was at Jane Long Middle School. I came to International because I knew that this was a school that would prepare me for college. My freshman year I had nine classes, Algebra 1, IPC, World Geography, Chinese, Art, Theater Art, English 1, Model UN/Debate and Advisory. I was very successful in every class from freshman year. I worked hard and turned in all my work on time in.
The most memorable moment from ninth grade was the last day of freshman year. There were many things that my friends and I did that day. There was a fieldtrip to Kemah Boardwalk. There were many rides that scared the pants off of me but they were very fun. Then after going to Kemah and coming back to school I got great news.
In ninth grade year I took many fieldtrips to Universities, and fun places like Kemah. I went to the University of Houston for Model UN and Debate. I also went to Houston Baptist University to visit with many other students. We went there to go see a play at their theater. It was very fun to see the play about Romeo & Juliet.
My friends were awesome that year. I knew almost everyone in the school. I used to hang out by Ms. White class or Ms. Patchai class. Those were the two favorite places that my friends and I used to hang out most of the time. I met my friends in classes. I started talking to them since the first week of ninth grade. My ninth grade year was awesome mostly because of the fieldtrips and the times that I will never forget. However, there were many bad times but that’s the past and that doesn’t matter no more. Now I only focus on the future and going to college with high grades every year on tests such as TAKS and the SAT.

10th Grade Reflection
Tenth grade was very interesting, there were many things that happened that had a great impact in my life. This year I have worked harder than any other year before. Now I have achieved my goal to get A’s and B’s. It has also changed the way I think before I do anything. For example, when I drink water I shouldn’t just throw the remainder of the water in the bottle away, because in other countries people are suffering because lack of clean water. This year I learn that I could make a different by just walking or running. I also learned that life is a prize and that anything could change and affect you in many ways.
This year I wasn’t expecting a hard break up with someone. I had it all planned out for the future. It was a goal for me to stay with her all throughout high school and one day we would be married. After the breakup it was hard for me to focus in school. I tried my best to keep on but it was hard to keep all those feelings in. I won’t let that stop me from reaching my goal and keep on moving forward. Now I just hope for a better beginning in life and a better opportunity.
I have contributed in many activities at school and classes. At school I have contributed to a carwash and a walk-a-thon for breast cancer. The car wash was very fun seeing teacher watching students washing their cars. In the walk-a-thon, I was very proud of myself, I got sixth place. The best part is that I lost weight by running and walking at least 4 miles that day. In class I am very active. I like to help pass out handouts to help the teachers. I also like to help other students understand what is going on in class when they don’t understand the material.
The biggest misconception about me this year was Ms. Johnson thinking I was an excellent student. Because I always do my work and try my best all the time but as well I get too stress with work. I think that she thought I was an excellent student because I am very helpful, nice, always do my work but I still don’t think I can be an excellent student.
The challenges that I have to deal with this year are very rewarding. In the middle of the year I had to deal with some personal issues. Now I have bad memories from my past but I try not to think about it. I have succeeded in many things such as my grades, projects, and other stuff that include school work. The next coming two years of high school I will push myself to the limit working hard and hoping for a better day without regretting anything.
